Summer programs are an awesome opportunity for students to get creative and learn about the arts during the months of June, July, and August. Summer Dance Camps

This year, we are offering two summer dance camps that will take place during the week of June 24. This is a great opportunity for current young dancers to keep learning, and for new students to try out dance for the first time!

Beginning Ballet Class

Our Beginning Ballet summer class is a great chance for students ages 8-14 to try out ballet before committing to a school-year-long program. If you have ever been interested in learning the art of dance, here is your opportunity! No previous experience is necessary. Students will learn some of the basics of classical ballet technique, including feet and arm positions, basic steps, and terminology.

Summer Arts Academy

In our 2019 Summer Arts Academy, students ages 6-12 will work with watercolors, chalk, oil pastels, pencil, marker, and clay to create projects that they can take home. In addition to gaining knowledge about various visual art forms, students will increase their creativity, listening, and problem-solving skills. All supplies needed are included in the tuition! Classes will be taught by instructor Emily Roop.

[FULL] Ballet Masterclass with Karen Gibbons-Brown

Creative Arts is honored to be hosting a ballet masterclass with Karen Gibbons-Brown, the Artistic Director for the Fort Wayne Ballet. This three-day masterclass is for students ages 11 to 18. The cost is only $10 for all three days, thanks to a grant from the Wells County Foundation! Some ballet experience is required to participate.

Karen Gibbons-Brown is the Artistic Director for the Fort Wayne Ballet. She is a renowned instructor and ballet master, having taught dance classes and workshops across the United States and the world. She has been listed among the world’s 18 most respected ballet masters, pedagogues, and artistic directors. In 2017, she received the Arts United Lifetime Achievement Award. Heartland Sings Vocal Arts Institute

We are excited to bring back our one-day Vocal Arts Institute for the second year in a row! Professional instructors from Heartland Sings are returning to Creative Arts to help middle and high school students dive into the art of singing with a variety of exciting sessions and breakout workshops. Mary Poppins Jr. Summer Theater Intensive

Students ages 8-18 are invited to join us as we explore the world of Mary Poppins! Ten days of rehearsals will culminate in three performances of this fun musical, adapted for young performers into a one-hour show.

Orientation: Saturday, May 18 | 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Theater Intensive: June 10 - 21 | weekdays, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Performances: June 21-22 | Bluffton High School
