Modern Dance

Modern dance is a form of contemporary dance created in the late-1800’s/early-1900’s. Unlike ballet where the technique is synonymous with turned out legs, pointed feet, and a specific posture; modern dancers dance with parallel and turned out legs, pointed and flexed feet, and various postures. The School of Ballet’s program has focused on Graham, Limon, and Cunningham techniques.
